Thom Cavalli, is a Jungian psychologist in private practice in Santa Ana CA. He has authored two major books, Alchemical Psychology, Old Recipes for Living in a New World (Putnam 2002) and the critically acclaimed Embodying Osiris , the Secrets of Alchemical Transformation (Quest 2010).
Additionally, he has a number of articles published in ARCHE, the Alchemy Journal and the Watkins Review. Dr. Cavalli is a favored, keynote speaker who has presented at such prestigious institutions as the APA, Esalen, the Bowers Museum, LA Jung Institute and the International Alchemy Conference. His workshops are regarded as a form of performance art, always exciting, daring and informative.
With thirty years of administrative experience, Dr. Cavalli has served in a number of clinical settings including Program Director of CPC Santa Ana Hospital and Clinical Manager of Metropolitan State Hospital. He has consulted to major corporations and served as Director of Psychology at CPS, vice-chairman of CPHP board and treasurer of OCPA. As part of his private practice he also provides writing/dissertation coaching and clinical supervision. He enjoys world travel, fine art, book collecting and playing in the ocean.
